About Me

Shawn Kilburn
Shawn Kilburn

Instructional Designer, Editor, Technical Content Creator

For the last several years, I have worked to create highly compelling technical, artistic, and career-oriented online courses for high school age kids. These courses included content on:

  • 3D Modeling
  • 3D Animation
  • Image Editing
  • Digital Art
  • Audio Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Medical Coding
  • Medical Terminology

I am passionate about taking complex topics, and making them engaging and understandable. In our world of growing complexity, it’s a simple act of kindness to reduce that complexity. If you need content that makes the complicated simple, but not simplistic, let’s talk.

Samples of my work are available on request via email at shawn.kilburn@gmail.com.

This website represents my online presence, as well as a place to play with different web technologies from time to time. Elswhere, I can be found at the following sites, among others that I use infrequently:

When I’m not roaming around the internet, I like to roam about my beautiful city of Portland, Oregon.

  1. The stars converged just now and so I am stretching a hand out to that Twitter dude…y’know, the one I liked from the git go, and who continues to impress.

Here’s my name tag. See? It says Al Giordano, class of ’08. And of ’12. So when our friend made his appreciation of your contributions so very palpable, did I follow you? Fuck yeah! An excellent choice.

I’m @xydeco. If you looked you’d see that either I don’t have all that much to say, or else, on Twitter, I listen, and don’t talk much. (That is subject to change, in case anyone asks.)

If I have a point for all this, it’s this: I like the cut of your jib. Plus, I could throw a rock practically from here to your ‘hood. (Well, that is if I could throw a rock two hours north on I5. That – alas – is not the case.)

Oh dear. I have misrepresented myself, and am deeply sorry.

In any event, my bottom line, Shawn Kilburn: Howdy, fellow! Good on ya!
